Donations | Help Keep CYC Afloat
It’s been seventeen years since significant investment in the docks, floats, and mooring infrastructure that keep our fleet safely and conveniently stored for instruction and enjoyment each summer, and there is now a critical need to replace the 420 and Laser floats for summer 2024. Our beloved Typhoons are also in desperate need of some love, and it is time to replace well worn components of our instructional fleet of N10s, Lasers, and 420s. That's why the Cuttyhunk Yacht Club is raising $150,000 to keep our fleet afloat! We invite you to partake. The CYC relies on the contributions and generosity of our member community to support long-term needs and keep costs low during the season.
The outpouring of donations so far is a testament to the love and connection we feel for this little program and the skills and relationships it fosters generation after generation. As evidenced from the huge population of toddlers playing with buckets and boats in the Cove this past summer, we are only a few years away from a boom of new C groupers. Please support these long-term investments in our club so that we can ensure that our infrastructure and fleet will be ready to receive them!
Specifically, your donation will support our ability to:
Replace the 420 floats, which keep our racing fleet safely moored in the harbor
Replace the Laser and RS Zest floats at the club dock, the core of our fleet
Restore the Typhoons, beloved vessels that allow for family sails and group instruction
Renew our existing fleet of N10s, Lasers, 420s, and RS Zests by enabling us to replace worn sails, parts and components
